We will resume our normal opening hours from the 14th of May 2020, operating under Level 2 Protocols.

Due to COVID-19, if you have any of these symptoms: fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath, OR have recently returned from overseas OR had close contact with someone who has returned from overseas, please do not attend your appointment. Phone us on 572 0028, or email us at team@pakurangaoptometrists.co.nz to discuss how we can help.

If you are a high-risk individual, such as being immunocompromised, have serious systemic conditions, pregnant or over the age of 70, please phone or email us prior to discuss how we can help. Specific appointment times can be booked for you.

For all eye exams, collections and repairs, booking appointments are preferred for better contact tracing and avoid crowding.

We take your health as a priority, therefore during your eye exams, our optometrists will be wearing a facial mask, all equipment surfaces will be disinfected in between each patient and hand sanitisers will be provided.

We thank you for your support and patience, and look forward to seeing you soon.

We take time to check Your Eyes

We provide quality and informative eye tests. We stand by our services and products, proudly serving the community for the last 20 years.

At Visique Pakuranga Optometrists, you are in the hands of a friendly and professional team. Our eye exams are personalized so we take our time and make sure you are well informed at the end. Checking your prescription for spectacles or contact lenses is only one part of having an eye examination. More importantly, monitoring eye health and the early detection of glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts...

If you need an eyesight test to renewal or obtain your driver licence, we can provide you with a DL12 form (eyesight certificate) for you to take to the licencing agency.

This will be a short appointment for a vision screening and peripheral vision check.

Orthokeratology, also known as Ortho-K lenses, involves wearing a pair of specially designed contact lens aiming to correct your prescription while you sleep. This leaves you free of glasses and contact lenses during the day time. Most importantly, Ortho-K is a great option for myopia control in children and teenagers. We offer a free initial assessment to have a more in depth discussion about Ortho-K.

Our professional team is here to guide our patients and their families every step of the way. From an initial examination to fitting and trialing varying options of contact lenses. Finding the best fit and most comfortable option to give you freedom of not wearing glasses. Some of the options include daily, fortnightly or monthly replacements as well as coloured and progressive contact lenses.
